Disney Soundtrack Session Workshop 2018
Here is the complete information for our Disney Soundtrack Session Workshop, scheduled for Saturday, February 3rd, 2018.
Please complete your registration BEFORE you return to school on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018.
This will be the orchestra's eighth consecutive year participating in this unique arts education program, which puts our young musicians in a recording studio with an experienced film conductor for 90 minutes to sight-read, refine, and record musical scores to classic Disney animated features like The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantasia. This is an optional enrichment experience for students.
The fee for the workshop is ~$145.00, which covers:
1) the soundtrack session workshop
2) bus/equipment transportation fee.
3) park-hopper admission to both Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks for the day
Please note that Disney Performing Arts does not accept Annual Passports of any kind for admission to DPA events.
Students are welcome to invite friends and family to join them at the parks at the discounted rate of $133.00 for a park-hopper ticket (regular admission to both parks is currently $150+). Please note that per Disney Performing Arts policy, the workshop itself is not open to the public, and only directors, official chaperones, and bus drivers are permitted to accompany students backstage. Family and friends will need to establish their own separate transportation to the parks.
Student accounts will be billed after the workshop is complete. There are generally no refunds, however Disney Performing Arts will consider them on a case-by-case basis due to absences that the school would consider excused for illness, family emergencies, etc. Please understand that by signing up for the workshop, unless an emergency arises, you are making a commitment to The Arts at St. Margaret's to fully participate.
All tickets will be distributed to students and guests by Mr. Wie and the staff in front of the Guest Services Window (West of the Disneyland Main Entrance) when the buses arrive the day of the workshop.

TRANSPORTATION/ALTERNATIVE PICKUP POLICY
For the safety and security of all involved in this school-sponsored event, all participating faculty, staff, and students must depart from and return to the St. Margaret's campus on our buses. Bus transportation is available only for the directors, designated chaperones, and participating students. There are no alternative pickup times, except in the case of an emergency.
Supervision is provided by our official staff chaperones, including St. Margaret's faculty at the ratio of one chaperone for every ten students. All US and MS students have mandatory check-in times at with the directors during the day while they are in the theme parks. Upper School students are required to stay with at least one partner throughout the duration of their day at the park. Middle School students are encouraged to organize like-interest groups as Disney regulations require all students under the age of 14 to be accompanied by a peer that is fourteen (14) years or older OR a chaperone. Please note that our chaperones may not always enter every attraction with them and/or may allow limited movement within a given area and range of time, but will stay nearby for safety reasons. Our goal is to allow our students to enjoy themselves in the park without feeling that they are being micromanaged, while at the same time ensuring their safety and security.
The Directors will have updated medical forms on hand for all participating students. Per school policy, this information is kept confidential and will only be shared with authorized medical personnel should treatment for an illness or injury becomes necessary. Student privacy is a huge concern for us and we will ensure that confidential medical information is protected by adequate security measures.
STAFF CONTACT NUMBER
We encourage students to bring their mobile phone with them so that they can easily call or text the staff, and we encourage students to contact us for any reason they feel is necessary. During the workshop day, Mr. Wie has a mobile phone with him at all times, and can be reached by parents/legal guardians and students at any time at the following number for voice and text: (949) 542-6858.
In case of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately, and notify the nearest Disney Cast Member to take advantage of the extensive emergency response services at the park. Afterwards, or for all other questions/concerns, please contact the director.
