If you have not received an email from the SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas), please look for it in your spam email folder. In order to access the videos you'll need to create a (free) account with the SAA using the email address that the SAA email was sent to.
This series of videos covers a large range of support topics for parents of young musicians. For starters, take a look at this short piece of advice on finding the time to practice...
Hello Suzuki Academy families,
Here's what you need to know for the upcoming concert.
WHEN: Wednesday, May 24th, 6pm
CALL TIME: Students please arrive at 5:30. You may want to leave a little extra time to find a parking spot.
WHERE: Performing Arts Center at St. Margaret's Episcopal School
WHAT: We'll be playing The Rest Position Song, Minuet 2, Perpetual motion, Long, Long Ago, and Twinkle Variation A (with rests between each note).
WEAR: Formal or Dressy outfit. Spring or Summer colors are good, but black and white is also fine. We recommend that skirts or dresses reach to the knee or below. It's a good idea to practice in your concert outfit and in your concert shoes!
BRING: Your instrument, and friends and family to sit in the audience!
PLAN to STAY... until the concert is over. This should be sometime between 7 and 7:30pm. If your child's bedtime is usually at or before 7:30pm, please let me know ahead of time. Otherwise, all students should stay to listen to the band and the orchestra that are playing after us in the concert.
Please note, there are no private lessons next week unless you have scheduled a makeup lesson with your private lesson teacher for next week. Group class on Tuesday May 23rd will be a rehearsal for the concert.
