We've just finished our last group class of the summer this week. Thanks all for a great group class work!
As a reminder, next week is the Capo International Chamber Music Festival, held in the St. Margaret's Performing Arts Center! If you enrolled in summer group classes, you can get a festival pass to attend any of the concerts during the week - just let us know that you're interested! Watching more advanced students (and professionals) play is an excellent way to hear string music and see where you could be headed in YOUR violin-playing future... I highly recommend it.
Check out concert and other festival info here: http://www.capochambermusic.org/
As a scheduling reminder, due to the chamber music festival using all the music rooms next week, there will be no private lessons next week. Private lessons will resume, for those of you who have summer lessons still, the following week.
Also, on the evening of Wednesday August 7th, there will be a "Suzuki Play-in" in Irvine (hosted by the Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California). This is a good way to meet other Orange County string students and it's FUN to play and hear as much Suzuki violin music as possible! Snacks are provided. Cost is $10, details here: http://www.cyosc.org/suzuki-violin-play-in.html
